Hall makes operation to combat the dengue mosquito in over 20 areas of Manaus

Manaus - The city of Manaus resumes today, the service space spraying (fogging) as part of the shares of 'Operation Impact to Fight Dengue. " This week, the work will reach more than 20 areas of the city, starting at 10 Park, south side, St. Anthony West, San Jose 2 and Colina do Aleixo, east, and Mount Sinai in the northern zone.

The goal is that by the end of February, the fogging has made a 100% coverage of the neighborhoods of Manaus, said the municipal secretary of Health, Francisco Deodato. During the passage of the vehicle through the streets of fogging, the Secretary directs that people should leave windows and doors open to facilitate outreach to the mosquitoes that are within the houses.

The only caution is to avoid being exposed directly to spray insecticide launched by the vehicle, said Deodato. Spraying occurs in neighborhoods where the early morning or late afternoon peak periods of Aedes aegypti. Parallel to the fogging, the 3,200 agents who are acting in 'Operation Impact to Fight Dengue' will continue to visit the property to identify outbreaks.
